Box Lacrosse Rules Update

At tonight’s practices, we will be reviewing the rule differences between box lacrosse and field lacrosse.  The following videos provide an excellent synopsis of these differences and we will review these exact issues at practice.  Players will find it very helpful to review these videos prior to our practices and games.

Please note that the videos reference a one-foot cross-check rule.  Because very few players have rib pads, we are requiring players to have their hands together, similar to field lacrosse, or a minor penalty for cross-checking will be called.

NOTE:  Players need to remember that we are requiring players to have their hands together, similar to field lacrosse, or a minor penalty for cross-checking will be called.  The one-foot rule mentioned in the video does not apply to our games.
